Direct Support Professionals
Requires: BA/BS or AAS preferred, H.S. Diploma required
Responsibilities: Provide instructional and care services to developmentally disabled adults in a class room environment Mon-Fri (Residential opportunities have evening and weekend hours available). Classroom staff will develop and implement goals and activities to assist our consumers with areas such as personal hygiene, recreation, socialization skills, behavior modification, sensory stimulation, and arts and crafts.
Overnight Direct Support Staff
Requires: H.S. diploma or G.E.D. and valid NYS driver's license Responsibilities: Overnight staff will be responsible for the care of adults consumers residing at one of ARC's residential group homes between the hours of 10pm - 8am. Staff will be trained and certified in CPR, 1st Aide, Crisis intervention and medication administration over their first 3 months (day time training) so that they will be able to complete the essential functions of their job.
